American government officials continue to ban books from classrooms. Inside those books are valuable lessons of Liberty, Bravery, Freedom and the American Dream. When these values are erased, we erase the values this country believes in. In partnership with Courageous Conversations Global Foundation, this campaign aims to help defend students’ freedom to learn and end the erasure of thousands of important stories and critical race theory in American classrooms.
We created missing posters that featured American heroes like Ruby Bridges, Martin Luther King Jr. and Toni Morrison. These posters use iconic images of our American heroes that were ripped out of the page, erased from our history.
Each image is torn to reveal pages from banned books authored by our American heroes.
